2020
Where It Began
A passion that became something more.
High Toned Watches began in 2020 from a genuine passion and long-standing interest in luxury watches. There was no attempt to build something overnight. It started from home, with a focus on the watches themselves, learning the market and giving every client the level of attention we believed the experience deserved.
One of the earliest watches we dealt with was a Rolex. From those first pieces, the same principles that guide High Toned Watches today began to take shape: work hard, remain consistent, understand the product and always prioritise the person on the other side of the transaction.

How We Grew
Trust became our strongest introduction.
Instagram was where much of the early growth began. It gave us a place to share watches, build an audience and connect directly with people who shared the same interest.
As those first client relationships developed, recommendations and word of mouth became an increasingly important part of the business. Those recommendations brought new clients, which in turn helped the online community continue to grow.
Growth eventually took High Toned Watches from home to our first office in Buckhurst Hill, and later to One Canada Square in Canary Wharf. Each stage has been different, but the approach has remained deliberately personal.
What We Believe

Buying a luxury watch should be something to enjoy. We never want a client to feel pressured into making a decision, uncomfortable asking a question or made to feel that they need to understand everything about watches before speaking with us.
Whether someone is buying their first luxury watch or adding another piece to an established collection, we want the experience to feel relaxed, comfortable and completely transparent. Take your time, ask questions and make the decision that feels right for you.
For us, trust isn't something that should be expected simply because we operate within the luxury market. It has to be earned through every conversation, every watch and every transaction.

The standards behind every piece.
Authenticity is non-negotiable. Every piece associated with High Toned Watches should meet the standard expected from a luxury purchase, and we take the responsibility of representing those pieces seriously.
Condition matters just as much as the name on the dial. We believe clients should have a clear understanding of what they are considering, including the condition of the watch, its provenance where available, and exactly what accompanies it — including box and papers.
Transparency extends beyond the watch itself. Pricing, faults, relevant information and the details surrounding a transaction should be communicated honestly. We would rather have an open conversation than create uncertainty simply to secure a sale.
The same standard applies to service. From an initial enquiry to the moment a piece changes hands — and afterwards — clients should feel looked after, respected and comfortable throughout the process.

At the same time, High Toned Watches is evolving into a wider luxury business. Jewellery and carefully selected luxury handbags are the beginning of that next chapter, allowing us to offer more to clients while maintaining the same considered approach that the business was built on.
Growth for us isn't about adding as much as possible, as quickly as possible. It is about expanding carefully, protecting the reputation we have built and making sure that everything carrying the High Toned Watches name feels right for the business and for our clients.
